Funnily enough, as my boyfriend was pouring "new" soy sauce, he found another fly. Since we couldn't find our server, we mentioned it to the busboy and he brought us a new bottle. My boyfriend was pouring soy sauce into his little dish when he found a fly in the sauce. The one star comes from the cleanliness and the service. However, that's not why I give them one star. The overly sweet sauce made my sushi rice almost inedible.
Chirashi bowl seattle full#
The chirashi don has at least two full cups of cooked rice. Their happy hour is very affordable too, mainly because of their overuse in rice. There is not as much fish as Musashi's, which is completely understandable, considering they are downtown. Remember to check in so you get a free order of edamame! Can't get enough of this place, check it out!
The fish varies from day to day based on the chef so you most likely will not get the same exact bowl as you've gotten before. There's tons of rice and good portions of fish. By no means is the bowl mini though, definitely a meal for one person. I love all their rolls/food but my personal favorites include Super Bad Boy (it has fewer pieces than the other rolls though), Fried Calamari and Mini Chirashi Bowl. In my opinion I wouldn't suggest coming here unless it's during HH because their rolls are expensive but the quality doesn't differ between non HH and HH sushi.soooooo go during HH. HH is all day pretty much, except from 6-10 I believe.įood is excellent, they definitely don't skimp on their portions. Service is always great, sometimes the wait is long if you don't have a reservation but usually fine. It is a nicer establishment but by no means formal (I've come in sweats and was served just fine). There are other awesome sushi restaurants but I continue to come back because of its location (right next to Pike Place/Pier and walk up a couple blocks to Westlake), prices, and delicious seafood, but parking is terrible since it is located in downtown. Japonessa is my go to Happy Hour (HH) sushi joint in the Seattle area.
